MLS Disciplinary Committee fines four, suspends Krisztian Nemeth extra game

Ahead of Week 14 of MLS action, the MLS Disciplinary Committee has fined and suspended one player an additional game. An additional three players have also been fined.


Krisztian Nemeth serious foul play


The Disciplinary Committee has issued an undisclosed fine and an additional game suspension (two games total) to Sporting Kansas City forward Krisztian Nemeth for serious foul play during the 51st minute of Sporting’s match against Vancouver Whitecaps FC on May 18. Nemeth, who initially received a red card for the incident, served his first match suspension on May 26 against the Seattle Sounders and will serve his additional match suspension on May 29 against the LA Galaxy.

Leandro Gonzalez Pirez simulation/embellishment


The MLS Disciplinary Committee has found Atlanta United defender Leandro Gonzalez Pirez guilty of simulation/embellishment. Gonzalez Pirez has been issued an undisclosed fine for his actions in the 16th minute of Atlanta’s match against Real Salt Lake on May 24.

Kai Wagner simulation/embellishment


The Disciplinary Committee has found Philadelphia Union defender Kai Wagner guilty of simulation/embellishment. Wagner has been issued an undisclosed fine for his actions in the 45th minute of Philadelphia’s match against the Portland Timbers on May 25.

Danny Hoesen simulation/embellishment


The Disciplinary Committee has found San Jose Earthquakes forward Danny Hoesen guilty of simulation/embellishment. Hoesen has been issued an undisclosed fine for his actions in the 78th minute of San Jose’s match against Toronto FC on May 26.
