Wondolowski's former teammates bust his chops in congratulations video

Alan Gordon - Chris Wondolowski - Quakes celebration

Three old friends were sitting in a bar this weekend, and they did what friends often do: They busted another friend's chops. Only this time around, it was three former San Jose Earthquakes players on the occasion of their old teammate's landmark match.

Sam Cronin, Alan Gordon and Bobby Burling filmed a video discussing Chris Wondolowski upon the striker's four-goal performance to match and surpass the MLS all-time scoring record on Saturday for the Quakes. Unlike most congrats videos, featuring players saying nothing but nice things, the old gang ā€” including Cronin and Gordon, who won the 2012 Supporters' Shield with Wondolowski as part of the famed "Goonies" side ā€” gave Wondo some stick for cleaning up on all the hard work done by others and razzing the man of the hour in other ways.

But seriously, Wondo has 39 career assists in MLS regular-season play, is regarded as one of the hardest workers in MLS, and is considered perhaps the league's most humble star. Like we said, Cronin, Gordon and Burling were just doing what you do at the bar, busting another friend's chops every now and then.
