The Colorado Rapids are seeking consecutive wins when they face a Columbus Crew SC side that hasn't scored in consecutive losses when the teams meet at Dick's Sporting Goods Park Saturday.
The Rapids (1-9-2) finally celebrated their first win of 2019, ending an 11-game winless run and eight-game losing streak with a 1-0 victory over the LA Galaxy. Andre Shinyashiki provided the breakthrough moment with his 82nd-minute goal, a rebound of a saved Kei Kamara shot.
Crew SC (5-8-1) weren't able to find the back of the net for a second straight game, losing to Minnesota United, 1-0, at Allianz Field with Ethan Finlay scoring the decisive goal against his former team. Columbus have won just once in their last eight games.
