2019 MLS Regular Season - Week 12
Vancouver Whitecaps FC vs. Atlanta United
BC Place — Vancouver
May 15 - 10:00 PM ET

Fresh off back-to-back victories, the Vancouver Whitecaps hope to snap Atlanta United's four-match winning streak when the teams square off in a midweek clash at BC Place.

The Whitecaps (3-5-3) moved to within a point of the Western Conference playoff line with a 1-0 win over the Portland Timbers at BC Place Friday night with Fredy Montero's 9th-minute goal extending Vancouver's unbeaten run to three games. Per Opta, Montero has 24 goals+assists for Vancouver since 2017, tied for the second most of any player despite not playing for the club last season.

Pity Martinez scored his first MLS goal Sunday to lead Atlanta (5-3-2) to a 1-0 win over rival Orlando City SC at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Now they head back on the road where Atlanta has won their last two away games by a combined score of 5-0. The Five Stripes have never held three consecutive clean sheets on the road.
