The New York Red Bulls kick off the Arizona portion of their preseason with a scrimmage on Sunday against USL Championship side Phoenix Rising FC.
New York Red Bulls
The Red Bulls, working towards their Concacaf Champions League opener at Atletico Pantoja in the Dominican Republic on Feb. 20, make the trip to the Southwest to gear up for their competitive opener.
The goal at this point? Stay healthy and work up to 90-minute fitness.
"We finished last camp at 60 minutes for some guys, so if we can start pushing those minutes to 75 and closer to 90, I think that’s a goal of ours," head coach Chris Armas told the club's website before the team left New Jersey this week.
Phoenix Rising FC
The USL Championship side has been busy in preseason. They've played Minnesota United FC to a scoreless draw and dropped a narrow contest to Sporting KC. After the RBNY game, which is free and open to the public, they'll take on Real Salt Lake next week.
