Columbus Crew SC continue their Southern California preseason camp on Thursday with another scrimmage against foreign opposition, this time facing Mexican side Club Tijuana after drawing Japanese club Vissel Kobe 0-0 in Irvine on Monday.

Columbus Crew SC

Crew SC are still in the early stages of Caleb Porter's regime, and the new head coach pronounced himself mostly pleased with his team's showing in Monday's preseason opener.

The Crew are also scheduled to visit South Carolina next month to conduct a training camp as part of their participation in the Charleston Challenge Cup preseason tournament.

Club Tijuana

A perennial home for US and MLS players like current midfielders Joe Corona and Edson Alvarado and former Houston Dynamo and Chivas USA star Erick "Cubo" Torres, Tijuana are now also led by a face familiar to MLS observers, former FC Dallas coach Oscar Pareja.

They're already well into their Liga MX Clausura campaign and thus unlikely to be going full-bore at full strength vs. the Crew given their league clash with Toluca on Saturday. But Xolos should still provide a useful test for Columbus at this stage.
