Atlanta United's Arthur Blank lauds Tata Martino, celebrates 1st MLS trophy

In only their second season as an MLS club, Atlanta United will be hosting 2018 MLS Cup after ousting the New York Red Bulls 3-1 on aggregate in the Eastern Conference Championship.

At Red Bull Arena for the moment was the club's owner Arthur Blank, who was on stage celebrating the Eastern Conference championship trophy with the players.

"I couldn't be happier," Blank said, while lauding the job by head coach Gerardo "Tata" Martino.

And so just a few months after hosting the 2018 MLS All-Star Game presented by Target, Atlanta gets to host its first MLS Cup at Mercedes-Benz Stadium against the Portland Timbers, where an MLS Cup record crowd is expected.
