Atlanta's Greg Garza says intensity was the key to first win over Red Bulls

Atlanta faced the NY Red Bulls four times before Sunday night's Eastern Conference Championship first leg. They were winless in all four.

Things were very, very different in their playoff matchup at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, where the Five Stripes jumped out to a 3-0 aggregate-goal lead in the series.

The big difference? According to Atlanta left back Greg Garza, it was quite simply the fact that they matched the Red Bulls' patented, physical press.

"It was the intensity," Garza said postgame. "We brought it to them today.

"That was it: We had to match their intensity -- something that we didn’t do the past four times that we played them, three losses against them," Garza continued. "Today we put it to them."
