LAFC's Lee Nguyen on Week 31 loss: "We didn't want it as bad as Chicago"

Lee Nguyen assisted on LAFC's lone goal, but it wasn't enough to help LAFC dig out of a 2-0 halftime hole en route to a 3-1 road loss to Chicago in Week 31.

The loss meant that LAFC's quest to make the playoffs in their debut season would have to wait one more week. They currently sit in third place, missing a chance to leap to the top of the Western Conference.

Nguyen was not mincing words as to why his team lost to a club that has already been eliminated from postseason contention: "We didn't want it as bad."

"We needed to play with more urgency, we needed to play quicker with more intensity," Nguyen continued. "We shouldn’t have to wait to be 2-0 down to show that fight."

LAFC next head to Colorado on Saturday, October 6 (9 pm ET on ESPN+ in USA; MLS LIVE on DAZN in Canada).
