US Open Cup XIs: Dynamo, Union field full-strength lineups in cup final

It's all hands on deck in what may well prove the biggest game of the year for the Houston Dynamo and Philadelphia Union


Both teams trotted out what appear to be their first-choice, full-strength starting lineups for Wednesday's U.S. Open Cup final at BBVA Compass Stadium, both sides arrayed in their usual 4-3-3 formation.

And the hosts, who welcome back influential Colombian central midfielder Juan David Cabezas, the man coach Wilmer Cabrera dubbed "our best player" in the leadup to this clash, for his career USOC debut:

Of note, Dynamo captain DaMarcus Beasley is playing in his third career Open Cup final, having worn the Chicago Fire's colors in the 2000 and 2003 editions, and former Union player Andrew Wenger mans Houston's right back slot. Philly left back Raymon Gaddis is the only player to have taken part in all three of the Union's Open Cup final appearances (2014, 2015 and 2018.
