Clint Dempsey - with jersey at Fulham FC tribute - THUMB ONLY

The tributes to Clint Dempsey keep piling up, as the freshly-retiredSeattle Sounders and US national team ace got a hero's welcome on his return Saturday to the club that made him world-famous.

Fulham FC brought "Deuce" onto the pitch during the festivities around their match vs. Watford at Craven Cottage, giving the home crowd a chance to hail the striker who spent six successful seasons by the riverside.

The 1-1 draw marked the Cottagers' 500th all-time English Premier League match, only the 15th club to attain that achievement. Dempsey scored a key goal in 2007 that enabled the London side to avoid relegation from the top flight and remains FFC's top scorer in the EPL, where he netted 50 of his 60 overall goals for Fulham.
