Team of the Week presented by Audi: Gerso Fernandes flies in Week 29

Week 29 of the 2018 MLS regular season was a week for attackers, something reflected in the Team of the Week presented by Audi.

Only four teams posted shutouts (two in the same game), while the goals went in early and often, with a total of 47 goals across 12 games, an average of just under four goals per game. All told, 11 teams were represented in the full Team of the Week squad.

Audi Player Index Spotlight

This week's spotlight player is Sporting Kansas City forward Gerso Fernandes, who scored two goals and two assists in a 5-1 road rout over the San Jose Earthquakes on Saturday. The game landed him the Audi Player Index Performance of the Week, after he garnered 1,344 points, best in the the league for the week.

Fernandes had a 100 percent shot accuracy rate in the game, and completed 100 percent of his passes in his team's half, in addition to 96 percent of his passes in the opposition half.
