2 Chainz to headline 2018 MLS All-Star Concert presented by Target

Major League Soccer announced on Monday that chart-topping hip-hop artist and Atlanta native 2 Chainz will headline the free MLS All-Star Concert presented by Target.


Set for 6 pm ET on Sunday, July 29 at the Historic Fourth Ward Park, the concert takes place three days before the best in MLS take on Italian powerhouse Juventus at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in the 2018 MLS All-Star Game presented by Target on Aug. 1 (7:30 pm ET | ESPN, UniMás, TSN, TVAS).


“I am thrilled to be headlining the MLS All-Star Weekend Concert in my hometown,” 2 Chainz said in a press release. “Thank you to the league and Target for having me and I can’t wait to see all the fans in Fourth Ward Park.”


Electronic-pop trio Cheat Codes, known for “No Promises,” their platinum-hit single with Demi Lovato, will open for 2 Chainz, and the event will be emceed by multi-talented songwriter, producer and artistic director Fonzworth Bentley, named the First Gentleman of Hip-Hop by GQ magazine.


A multi-dimensional entertainer, 2 Chainz hit gold with his most recent studio album, “Pretty Girls Like Trap Music” by Def Jam Recordings, a top-selling record featuring many of the biggest names in hip-hop, and may be familiar to MLS fans thanks to his role in the league’s “Our Soccer” promotional campaign.


Fans wishing to attend the MLS All-Star Concert must secure their RSVP reservation by visiting MLSsoccer.com/allstarconcert. Due to space restrictions, registration does not guarantee entry, which will be first come, first served. The event is sold out.
