Can Celso Borges be the latest Costa Rican national team player to join Major League Soccer?

A report by Marca.com lists MLS as a possible destination for the Ticos defensive midfielder. Borges played in 32 matches (26 starts) for Deportivo La CoruƱa last season, who were relegated from La Liga. Borges' contract expires at the end of next season.

Although not listing specific interest, the article claims there are several teams who would want to sign the 30-year-old midfielder. Thereā€™s a possibility he remains with Depor or even go to another Spanish side.

There are currently 13 players from Costa Rica who compete in Major League Soccer, including six who are part of the Ticos roster in Russia.
