There was a heated postgame exchange between Portland head coach Giovanni Savarese and his LAFC counterpart Bob Bradley following the Timbers' 2-1 win in an end-to-end Week 12 affair.
Bradley briefly addressed the incident when he faced the media (watch the video above), while Savarese was immediately confronted about the incident on the FOX postgame show.
"Of course, Bob is a great coach. He wants to win," Savarese told Rob Stone and Alexi Lalas. "He just felt that we were beating up on the referee. But I really saw an elbow in a moment that I felt it should have been a little bit more than a yellow card [66th minute foul by Walker Zimmerman on Sebastian Blanco] ... That’s the only thing. But the respect is mutual and there’s nothing more than that."
