Toronto FC signed two more players ahead of Saturday’s match against the Houston Dynamo (3 pm ET; CTV — Full TV & streaming info) at BBVA Compass Stadium, which promises to feature a reserve-heavy roster for the visitors ahead of Wednesday’s critical second leg of the Concacaf Champions League final against Chivas de Guadalajara at Estadio Akron.

Midfielder Alan Mariano Miño, who made one appearance for Toronto FC II this season, has signed a first team contract and defender Mitchell Taintor arrives on loan from Sacramento Republic FC of the USL. He will be added to the roster pending receipt of his International Transfer Certificate.

Before arriving in Toronto, Mino, 24, made 10 appearances for Sud America in the Uruguayan first division, scoring twice. Prior to that, he made 28 league appearances for Boca Unidos in the Primera B Nacional in his native Argentina, scoring three goals.

Taintor, 23, has started all five matches he’s appeared in for Sacramento Republic FC after making 47 appearances over the course of two seasons for Toronto FC II. He also made one appearance for TFC, on May 23, 2017 against Ottawa Fury FC in the 2017 Canadian Championship.
