It's not often that film crews forge deep into the wilderness to track a beloved sports mascot and capture footage of them in their natural habitat. But that's exactly what the Portland Timbers have achieved with their latest video offering.
After opening the season with five straight road games (a stretch in which they've shuffled to a rough 0-3-2 start) due to the expansion project at their downtown home, PTFC are finally set to make their 2018 home debut at Providence Park on Saturday with a visit from Minnesota United (10:30 pm ET | ESPN+, MLS LIVE on DAZN in Canada).
That means the end of Timber Joey's long winter hibernation, or so we're told. We'll let the video take it from here...
