Five MLS pros among 25 players called up for US U-20 national team camp

Tab Ramos has called up 25 players to the US U-20 national team for an upcoming training camp and three friendlies in Spain.


The U-20 national team will begin the camp March 17 in Alicante, Spain, where they will take on France on March 21 and March 23. Then, they will head to Madrid, and will play Atletico Madrid's U-21 team. The camp is intended to help prepare a group of players ahead of the 2019 U-20 World Cup cycle.


Among the 25 call-ups are five professional players in MLS: Atlanta United duo Andrew Carleton and Chris Goslin, FC Dallas midfielder Paxton Pomykal, and Philadelphia Union duo Mark McKenzie and Matthew Real. An additional five players on the roster have current ties to MLS team academies.
