Orlando City SC 0, Columbus Crew SC 1 | 2017 MLS Match Recap

On a night honoring Orlando City SC forward Kaká, it was Columbus Crew forward Ola Kamara who spoiled the festivities.

Kaká had two chances to collect his final goal for Orlando, but was off the mark both times. The dagger came in the 66th minute when Kamara scored from short range. Crew SC increased their chances of opening the Audi 2017 MLS Cup Playoffs at home with a 1-0 win over Orlando.

Three Things

Farewell Kaká
: The Orlando City forward played his final game in front of a home crowd Sunday in the loss to Columbus. The waterworks started early as Kaká stood behind his family during the national anthem. The former FIFA World Player of the Year has tallied 24 goals and 22 assists in his 74 games with Orlando.

Olé Ola Kamara
: The lone goal scorer of Sunday's match is no stranger to the back of the net. Kamara recorded his 17th goal of the season for Crew SC and has now scored against 15 different MLS teams in 2017. On his birthday, Kamara marked a spot in the record books.

  • Crew SC Climbing the Table: Two weeks ago, Crew SC clinched a playoff spot by defeating D.C. United at home. This week, Crew SC boosted their chances of securing home-field for the Knockout Round. With just one more game left in the regular season, Columbus can still climb high in the standings before entering postseason play.
