DC United's Patrick Mullins scores fastest four goals in MLS history

D.C. United forward Patrick Mullins broke out of a long slump in Week 29, scoring four goals in D.C. United's 4-0 win against the San Jose Earthquakes.

Mullins had entered the game goalless in 15 games this season but was able to become the ninth player to score four goals in an MLS game (two players have done it twice). He is also the fourth D.C. United player to score four goals in a game.

Clint Mathis holds the record for most goals in an MLS game with five, which he accomplished with the then NY/NJ MetroStars on Aug. 26, 2000.

Mullins does hold the distinction for scoring the fastest four goals in MLS history, having accomplished the feat in only 31 minutes.
