Dominique Badji struck two minutes from full time as the Colorado Rapids rallied to play New York City FC to a 1-1 draw at Dick's Sporting Goods Park Saturday night.
NYCFC led throughout most of the match thanks to Tommy McNamara's third goal of the season.
Taking advantage of a falling Jared Watts, McNamara turned and attacked space before unleashing a blast from 25 yards out into the upper right corner of the net to put NYCFC in front, 1-0, in the 19th minute.

Three Things
- THE LATE, LATE SHOW: NYCFC fans certainly have seen this before. When Dominique Badji struck for the tying goal just two minutes from full time, it was the fourth time this season New York City has conceded in the final five minutes. The good news? Three of those times the match ended in a draw. But when you consider Toronto FC is eight points clear in the Supporters Shield race, those points lost really add up.
- WEST COAST TOMMY: Tommy McNamara hasnāt scored many goals this season, but heās feasted on Western Conference opponents. Strangely, all three of McNamaraās goals have come against the West ā April 1 against San Jose and his flying header in a 1-1 draw May 14 at FC Dallas.
- GREAT EIGHT: There hasnāt been a lot to cheer about for the Rapids faithful, but Badji has been a bright spot. His leveler Saturday night was the Senegalese forwardās eighth goal of the season. Colorado is 4-1-3 when Badji finds the back of the net this season and 9-2-4 all-time.
