Theatrics? Philadelphia Union fans award Atlanta's Yamil Asad an Oscar

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences was most definitely not holding its annual awards gala at Talen Energy Stadium in Chester, Pennsylvania on Saturday night; the 2017 edition of that Hollywood extravaganza already took place on Feb. 26 at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles.

But that famous Oscar statuette made an appearance just the same.

Yes, someone – it appeared to be infamous MLS fans Vince and Vance Moss, the brothers who are prominent pitchside supporters of the New York Red Bulls, but we're still awaiting confirmation of that – brought a replica of that famous trophy to the Philadelphia Union's 2-2 draw with Atlanta United

They seemed to have selected Yamil Asad as the winner of the evening's Oscar, we're guessing for Best Actor in a Leading Role, as the statuette was brandished in the ATL UTD striker's direction when he hit the deck seeking a foul call (to no avail) in the 87th minute.
