The New York Red Bulls kept pace with the pack of East leaders by posting a 2-0 win over 10-man hosts Philadelphia. The Big Apple bunch not only halted a six-game road losing streak, they also scored their first goal in 524 away minutes. RECAP

Fire continue roll in New England


Chicago made it six wins from seven and ran their MLS unbeaten streak to eight games with a 2-1 victory at New England on Saturday. The result dealt the Revs their first home defeat of the season. RECAP


Offseason catch Nemanja Nikolic can obviously take his share of the plaudits after netting his league-best 13th goal of the season, but the Fire also got another goal from Luis Solignac, who is proving to be an excellent support attacker for the East title chasers. READ MORE


Toronto FC maintain league lead


Second-half goals from Jozy Altidore and Jordan Hamilton helped Toronto FC stay a point ahead of Chicago in the Supporters' Shield race with a a 2-0 win over guests D.C United on Saturday. The beaten visitors saw their goal futility streak reach 299 minutes. RECAP


The Reds benefitted from the reunion of star trio Altidore, Michael Bradley and Sebastian Giovinco, who hadn't started a game together since early May. READ MORE


One-two Villa punch KO's the champs


New York City FC star David Villa struck twice to lift the home side to a soggy 2-1 victory over visiting Seattle on Saturday afternoon. RECAP

Colorado posted their third straight win, and fourth in a row at home, with a 2-1 decision over the Portland Timbers. The victory lifted the Rapids out of both the league and the Western basement. RECAP

Atlanta United busted open a tie game with a pair of late goals to top guests Crew SC for a 3-1 win. The Five Stripes have now scored three straight home wins, each by multiple goals. RECAP

Vancouver claw back to draw Dallas


Shorthanded hosts Vancouver struck back through Cristian Techera with 16 minutes remaining to earn a 1-1 share with FC Dallas on Saturday. FCD had grabbed the lead early in the second half on Maxi Urruti's eighth goal of the term. RECAP

Quakes, SKC end goalless


San Jose snapped a two-game league losing streak by holding West leaders Sporting KC in a scoreless stalemate at Avaya Syadium. The point gained narrowly kept the home side above the playoff line. RECAP
