Cascadia Cup: 2017 schedule, standings and all-time winners list

Decision Day - Cascadia Cup - Liam Ridgewell - Timbers Army

The Cascadia Cup is back in Portland.

The Portland Timbers won the 2017 Cascadia Cup on Sunday following a 2-1 win over the Vancouver Whitecaps at Providence Park. The victory means they beat out the other Cascadia rival, Seattle Sounders, with a two-point cushion in the competition standings.

It is the first time the Timbers take the Cascadia Cup since 2012 and their fourth overall. That brings them level with the Sounders and two behind all-time leaders Vancouver.

Created by the supporters of the Sounders, Whitecaps and Portland Timbers, the Cascadia Cup has been around since 2004. It was contested by all three teams in USL until 2009, when the Sounders made their MLS debut. The Whitecaps and Timbers continued battling for the Cup in the lower divisions until 2011, when both moved up into MLS, allowing the Sounders to get back in on the competition.
