Fantasy: Who are the top 50 players heading into Round 2?

In this episode, Reid,Jason, Mike, and Andrew break down some of the most important fantasy moments from Round 1 and give their game-by-game preview for Round 2.

The Opening Weekend Challenge started MLS Fantasy with a bang, ended with a hush, and provided every Fantasy manager with valuable information about potential player point production. Using this new information, I’ve modified my original top 50 player rankings ahead of Round Two, the official start to the Fantasy season.

Adjustments

Several forwards moved up the ranks, most notably Dempsey, Larin and Adi who all had excellent games. Additionally, each has quality players providing service and I think that makes them top 15 quality. Most midfielders stayed in similar positions, but Finlay and Meram moved into my top 25 after a strong showing against Chicago. It’s possible that Meram will become the higher ranked of the two, but Finlay is currently the one who is scoring.

Additions

The following players were added to the list: Torres, Accam, Quioto, Asad, Acosta, Rusnak, Davies, Irwin, Jungwirth, Moor, Bingham, and Vytas. I liked what I saw from these players during Round 1 and think they have good fantasy potential going forward.
