Major League Soccer announced Saturday evening that tickets for the 2016 MLS Cup matchup between Toronto FC and the Seattle Sounders on Dec. 10 will go on sale to the general public at 1 pm ET on Monday at TicketMaster.com.

A special presale for Toronto FC season-ticket holders is currently underway and runs through Sunday. The Sounders will receive an away game allotment of tickets for the league title bout, the first in either team's MLS history.

The 21st edition of the MLS championship game will be played on Saturday, Dec. 10 at 8:00 pm ET at BMO Field in Toronto, Ontario, and broadcast on FOX and UniMas in the United States, and TSN1/3/4 and RDS in Canada.

This is BMO Field’s second time hosting MLS’ championship game. The lakeside stadium was also the venue when the Colorado Rapids edged FC Dallas in the 2010 MLS Cup. BMO Field will have a capacity of 36,000 for the 2016 MLS Cup.

Last year’s championship game was held at MAPFRE Stadium in Columbus, Ohio, drawing a sellout crowd of 21,747 to watch the Portland Timbers defeat Columbus Crew SC 2-1.
