FC Dallas qualified for the 2016-17 CONCACAF Champions League with an emphatic 5-2 win over Guatemalan side Suchitepequez on Thursday, and had a surprise from a fellow American in Guatemala before the game.
United States ambassador to Guatemala Todd Robinson was on hand to lend his support and meet FC Dallas players and personnel, and received a personalized FC Dallas jersey to boot.
All in all, it must have been a good night for Robinson, watching an American side make the trip down to the Central American country and come away with a victory. Ambassador since Oct. 2014, he's now got a fresh piece of memorabilia for his office, too.
