The Seattle Sounders could put the exclamation point on their improbable charge up the standings on Wednesday night, as they’ll clinch a spot in the Western Conference playoffs with a home win against the Houston Dynamo (10:30 pm ET; MLS LIVE).
The Sounders aren’t the only time with a lot on the line in the MLS midweek slate. The Colorado Rapids, who won in Houston over the weekend, could overtake FC Dallas for the Supporters’ Shield lead with a home win against San Jose on Thursday night (9 pm ET; MLS LIVE).
A victory would plant the Rapids firmly in the driver’s seat in the chase for the Shield, putting them one point ahead of Dallas – who have a brutal remaining schedule – with just two games remaining.
