Atlanta United’s academy may be very new, but that doesn’t mean they’re not already producing.
Atlanta, who already have two Homegrown players on the first-team roster, scored an incredible goal in a Generation adidas Cup qualifier at the Philadelphia Union over the weekend, when U-16 player Jackson Conway did this:
Atlanta, who drew more than 1,000 supporters for their U-18s first US Soccer Development Academy match last month, went on to beat the Union 4-1.
They went unbeaten in their first three matches of GA Cup qualifying and currently sit atop their group heading into next year’s final three qualifying contests.
