Scarftember rolls on: Check out some of your best #ScarvesUp posts so far

MLS WORKS - Kick Childhood Cancer - scarftember 2

At the beginning of the month, MLSsoccer.com asked you, the fans, to share your favorite soccer scarves (or scarf collection!) using #ScarvesUp, as part of Scarftember, a month-long celebration in support of Major League Soccer's childhood cancer awareness campaign, Kick Childhood Cancer.

And did you ever.

Supporters of all teams, stripes, ages and stories have joined in, sharing their takes on #ScarvesUp and helping raise funds in the fight against childhood cancer. For each original post using #ScarvesUp, MLS will donate $1 to Children's Oncology Group, the world's largest organization devoted exclusively to childhood and adolescent cancer research.

Here's a few of our favorites thus far -- and remember, there's still some Scarftember left, so you and your friends have time to join the fun with a post or two, or three, or 10...

Start 'em young: It's all about the kids, in more ways than one. John Tomac sought out the help of perhaps the youngest New York Red Bulls on earth for his post...

The Purple Barons? Orlando City SC fan Patty Floyd took her Lions colors into the cockpit for a jet-fueled #ScarvesUp moment...

LAFC OGs: Los Angeles Football Club don't take the field in MLS action until 2018, but it's not too early to get in on the action. After all, that gorgeous new stadium is already under construction...

Happily married: Even fancy nuptuals can use some #ScarvesUp, as these Montreal Impact devotees showed...

Star-Spangled Scarftember: The national anthem is a group experience at Providence Park, and scarves are a must-have accessory when the Timbers are about to kick off.

Going gold for Amber: #ScarvesUp holds extra-special meaning for Scott Lunn and his family.

Here's another reminder of how it works:

  • Post a picture of you with your MLS scarves on Twitter or Instagram
  • Include hashtag #ScarvesUp and tag MLS
  • MLS will donate $1 to childhood cancer research for each original post
  • One overall submission will win a $250 gift card to MLSstore.com

The contest runs from Thursday, September 1, through Friday, September 30 (official rules).
