Bradley Wright-Phillips became the all-time leading scorer in New York Red Bulls history when he tapped in a cross by Connor Lade in the 90th minute to help the visitors escape Toyota Park with a 2-2 draw against the Chicago Fire Sunday evening.

Wright-Phillips goal was his 63rd in all competitions and spoiled what would have been the Fire's fifth consecutive home win. New York (9-9-5) is now 1-7-4 away from Red Bull Arena, while Chicago (4-10-6) did stretch a home unbeaten streak to six.

A defensive blunder by the Fire gave the Red Bulls a 1-0 lead on 16 minutes. Sean Johnson hesitated on a ball played into the box by Mike Grella and Matt Polster slid and tapped into his own net from the edge of the six-yard box.

Chicago leveled in the 35th minute when David Accam picked up a second ball after Michael de Leeuw won a 50-50 challenge with Ronald Zubar and ran into space. Accam blasted a low shot to the left of Red Bulls goalkeeper Luis Robles from 24 yards out for his fifth goal of the season.

Polster made amends for his earlier gaffe by latching onto a whipped in ball by John Goossens and putting his diving header past Robles from the edge of the six-yard box in the second minute of first-half stoppage time.

WASTED OPPORTUNITY: There were chances for the Fire to tack onto their lead and perhaps put the game away, but those squandered opportunities came back to bite them when Bradley Wright-Phillips equalized in the 90th minute. Adding to the sting of two points lost, Chicago could have climbed out of the Eastern Conference basement with Toronto beating Columbus.
RED BULLS ROAD WOES: While its not Fire-level deficiency, the Red Bulls still have just one win away from Harrison in 12 road games -- that famous 7-0 win over New York City FC. Perhaps a silver lining is that New York has earned a point in their last two road games, though the 2-2 draw with the Union feels more like a loss after squandering a 2-0 lead.
