The LA Galaxy and Colorado Rapids were unable to find a breakthrough over ninety minutes with both defenses playing stalwart and true on the way to a 0-0 draw.

LA had the best chance of the night when Sebastian Lletget found Emmanuel Boateng inside the penalty area with a cross in the 79'. Lletget got around his marker on the wing, and then he found Boateng who was trailing the play. Boateng's one touch shot was cleared off the line by Colorado defender Dennis Castillo.

Colorado had two chances on target inside the penalty area in the first half, but couldn't find the back of the net.

THE WELL'S RUN DRY: Things aren't going well for the Galaxy attack lately. Wednesday's match was the second straight time they've been shutout at home. LA hasn't suffered back-to-back shutouts at home since 2006. They've also had one shot or less on target at halftime in five of their last six home games according to Opta.

SPEAK LITTLE, DO MUCH: Defensive-minded midfielders can sometimes find their efforts overlooked, but when Colorado midfielder Micheal Azira comes into a match tied for second in MLS with 53 interceptions and then adds four more, it's worth noting. The Rapids have arguably MLS's best defense, and their ability to control the midfield is a big part of that.

The Galaxy were hosting Pride Night for this game, and although it was revealed on Tuesday that
Robbie Rogers is recovering from ankle surgery
it was reported during the game that not only was he in attendance but he made a point to sign scarves on a night where tributes were made in support of the mass shooting in Orlando.
