FC Dallas supporters, Oscar Pareja pay tribute to late legend Bobby Rhine

When FC Dallas beat Sporting Kansas City on Sunday, it was more than just another win. It was a tribute to an FC Dallas legend.


Sunday was the birthday of the late Bobby Rhine, who made more than 200 appearances for FC Dallas between 1999 and 2008.


"I said if we win this one, that is for Bobby,ā€ said FC Dallas coach Oscar Pareja. ā€œThese three points are for him. Happy birthday, Bobby."


The fans in Frisco, Texas also paid tribute to the player, who joined the FC Dallas front office after he retired in 2008 until his death in 2011. A tifo sprawled across the stands have a picture of Rhine from his playing days and the words: ā€œForever our voice, forever a legend.ā€
