San Jose Clash forward Eric Wynalda left it late when he scored the first goal in MLS history on April 6, 1996 in a 1-0 win against D.C. United.

The World Cup veteran forward charged at his USMNT teammate and D.C. United defender, Jeff Agoos, pulled off a nutmeg move and applied a sensational curling finish in the 87th minute to send the home crowd into delirium.
