After falling to a Swedish club in their 2016 preseason opener, D.C. United will look to rebound by beating another.
D.C. are set to return to the field at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida, on Tuesday afternoon when they take on Jonkoping Sodra FC. Ben Olsen's side opened preseason with a 1-0 loss to Swedish outfit IF Elfsborg last Friday, but the D.C. coach told the team Web site, "It was a great opponent to test ourselves with early in this camp, and I think we got a lot out of it."
Tuesday's showdown with Jonkoping Sodra FC will be streamed live at 3:30 p.m. ET.
The match could mark the preseason debut of Marcelo Sarvas, the veteran midfielder acquired via trade on Monday.
