Behold the soccer scarf. Colorful, emblazoned with slogans and club crests, worn in by years of tearful celebration, tearful disappointment, and all kinds of weather. In short, it's a must have for any supporter.
But no one would ever say it's haute couture. Right?
Well, Vogue might. The high-end fashion magazine declared this week that the lowly soccer scarf, long maligned by fashionistas from Moscow to Milan to Malaysia, is now a bona fide fashion trend.
Soccer scarves have hit the several runways this fall. And Vogue.com Fashion News Director Chioma Nnadi is already planning to stock up on them. "I’m going to start looking on eBay for some more," she says.
