FC Dallas winger Fabian Castillo named to Colombia squad for World Cup qualifiers against Peru, Uruguay

Fabian Castillo's upward ascent shows no signs of slowing down.

After making his international debut for Colombia against Peru in September, the FC Dallas winger was among the squad called by José Néstor Pékerman for World Cup qualifiers against Peru and Uruguay on Oct. 8 and 13.

Castillo played 31 minutes off the bench at Red Bull Arena on Sept. 9 in his first-ever senior cap, and will meet up with his Colombia teammates in Barranquilla following Sunday's Texas Derby match against Houston (5 pm ET, ESPN2).

The 23-year-old was also voted MLS' top young player in 2015's 24 Under 24 series. In 134 career MLS games, Castillo has 29 goals and 23 assists, including nine goals and seven assists so far in 2015.
