Team of the Week (Wk 30): Orlando City keep themselves in playoff race with big win in Jersey

Their playoff hopes are hanging on by a thread, but Orlando City scored a huge win against the New York Red Bulls on Friday night, and they have the performances to show for it.


Cyle Larin scored his second hat trick in the New York area this season, and he now holds the record for most goals by a rookie in a season. Kaká collected three assists, almost doubling his season total, while Cristian Higuita more than held his own against one of the best midfields in the league.

GK: Andre Blake (Philadelphia Union) - Stepping up when given a chance, the Union goalkeeper stood on his head in the final 25 minutes to keep Philly in the game as the Revs tried to find a winner.


D: RJ Allen (New York City FC) - Has helped solidify the right-back spot for New York City FC as they conceded just one goal to the Vancouver Whitecaps.


D: Ethan White (Philadelphia Union) - Put out a lot of fires as the Union were stretched against the Revolution, amassing 12 clearances and seven interceptions.


D: Amadou Dia (Sporting Kansas City) - Played exceptionally well for an under-manned Sporting side as they grabbed a point at home versus Seattle.


M: Vicente Sanchez (Colorado Rapids) – Wreaked havoc for the Rapids and was credited with two goals, but he still couldn't help Colorado earn a point in Houston.


M: Nigel Reo-Coker (Montreal Impact) – Controlled the midfield for Montreal, who won both oftheir games this week as they attempt to secure their playoff spot.


M: Cristian Higuita (Orlando City) – Completed more than 90 percent of his passes as Orlando got a much-needed win in New York.


M: Kaká (Orlando City) – Three assists for the Brazilian in Orlando City’s big win over the Red Bulls. Just what the Lions needed for their playoff hopes.


F: Sebastian Giovinco (Toronto FC) - Became the first MLS player to ever hit 20 goals and 15 assists as Toronto FC beat Chicago at home.


F: Didier Drogba (Montreal Impact) – Had another ridiculous week for the Impact, scoring three goals in two games for Montreal.


F: Cyle Larin (Orlando City) – Broke out of his slump in style, grabbing his second hat trick this season and breaking the rookie scoring record in the process.


Coach: Adrian Heath (Orlando City) - Kept his team in the playoff race in shocking fashion, dominating the Red Bulls on the road.
