FC Dallas and New York City FC meet for the first time ever when the clubs face off in an interconference matchup at Toyota Stadium on Saturday evening. FC Dallas sit in third place in the Western Conference, coming off a second consecutive victory in an impressive 3-0 victory at Columbus Crew SC last weekend. NYCFC return to action after a weekend off, sitting in ninth place in the Eastern Conference, three points out of the final playoff position, after a second consecutive defeat in a 2-1 loss to Columbus at Yankee Stadium in their last outing.

  • FC Dallas won a second consecutive game – both by shutout – in defeating Columbus Crew SC on Sunday evening at Mapfre Stadium.
  • FC Dallas started five Homegrown Players in their lineup – goalkeeper Jesse Gonzalez and midfielders Coy Craft, Kellyn Acosta, Victor Ulloa and Alex Zendejas – the first time in MLS history a team had that many in a lineup in a game.
  • NYCFC suffered a second consecutive loss, their current winless run now at three games, following a 2-1 defeat by Columbus Crew SC in their last match, Aug. 29 at Yankee Stadium.
