Goalkeepers

New No. 1: Former MLS SuperDraft top pick Andre Blake ($5,100) came up big in his first start of the season, notching 18 points in leading Philadelphia to a 1-0 win at Montreal last weekend. He’s in line for another start against a Revolution team that is winless in eight straight road games.

In Toronto, Chris Konopka ($5,300) took over the starting role between the pipes and turned in a clean sheet in a 5-0 win against Orlando City. I like Konopka’s chances to post another clean sheet against a struggling Impact attack that has just one goal in their last three games across all competitions.

Defenders

Back Attack: Goals are on the menu at Yankee Stadium on Saturday, and I’m looking at Harrison Afful ($3,500) and Angelino ($5,200) to play a part. Afful has six crosses in consecutive games since joining the Columbus Crew’s starting XI. Angelino is averaging nearly eight fantasy points per game at home, with two assists in his last three games at Yankee Stadium. Serving balls into the likes of Golden Boot front-runners David Villa and Kei Kamara, i’m banking on some crossing points and hoping to grab an assist from the attacking backs.

Midfielders

Dropping Dimes:Cristian Maidana ($9,000) is atop the MLS assists leaderboard, with 14 helpers on the season. Maidana had three assists in his last outing at PPL Park, where he’s tallied at least one assist in four straight games. Look for “Chaco” to exploit a Revs defense that has struggled on the road this season.

Crew Love: Both Federico Higuain ($8,800) and Ethan Finlay ($8,300) had solid outings when the Crew and New York City drew 2-2 just 10 days ago. The midfield duo combined for 21 points and I expect a similar output -- or more -- in what should be a high-scoring rematch.

Forwards

Golden Boots: Did I mention that i’m anticipating goals at Yankee Stadium on Saturday? On average, there have been over six goals per game in the last four contests at Yankee Stadium. That’s good news for Kei Kamara ($11,000), who will be eager to add to his league leading 18 goals. His counterpart David Villa ($13,000) is not far behind, with 15 goals; he boasts a goal in four consecutive games in New York City’s home confines.

Sebastian Giovinco ($13,900) continues to pile up the fantasy points, scoring a goal and assisting on another in Toronto’s win over Orlando City last Saturday. The Atomic Ant has a favorable home game against a Montreal Impact team against which he tallied a goal and an assist earlier this season.

Bargain Bin

Bottom of the Barrel: In order to squeeze in some of the attractive high-priced options above, you’re going to have to find a value play or two when building your lineup. Montreal Impact midfielder Johan Venegas ($2,500) certainly fits the bill. Filling in for usual playmaker Ignacio Piatti, Venegas had eight points last weekend and has a combined 10 shots in the two games he’s started since joining the Impact.
