LA Galaxy become the first team in MLS to score 1,000 goals in the regular season

The LA Galaxy have been racking up goals left and right – not just recently, but for the past 20 years.

With Robbie Keane's 81st minute tap-in (watch above), the Galaxy wrote another page in their already-overflowing history book:

(That's in the regular season, by the way.)

The goal was the icing on the cake after a stellar performance from LA, who dismantled New York City FC in Sunday's star-studded matchup to the tune of a 5-1 scoreline.

And while the Galaxy will no doubt be pleased with the history they've made, they're likely focused on a different kind of history after moving into first place in the overall standings: winning a record-breaking fifth Supporters' Shield and adding to a record five MLS Cups come December.
