It's a scorcher this evening at Dick's Sporting Goods Park in Commerce City, Colorado. But this is soccer we're talking about -- fans were already out repping hard hours before the 2015 AT&T MLS All-Star game. Here are some of the sights and cool humans from around the stadium before the game kicked off.
We're celebrating our upcoming 20th season!
So how did this family become Spurs fans when they hail from Nebraska? Dad played with a club team there in the 1980s, and Tottenham came to visit and train with them. The fandom's stuck since then and he's passed it down to his daughter, mainly.
These gentlemen came from Wyoming specifically for the game. So what's up with the Real Madrid jersey, guy on the left? "I used to have an old Galaxy one, but it doesn't fit, so this was the other soccer jersey I had."
This father-daughter pair from Los Angeles were bummed that Robbie Keane, from their hometown team the Galaxy, couldn't make it to the squad because of injury. They still support the team so hard they said they're sticking around to see the Colorado Rapids take on the Galaxy in the same stadium this weekend.
Kids got to play on a Tottenham-sponsored mini pitch....
...And we ran into Tottenham's mascot, Chirpy, again!
Turns out Nebraska is a mini-Tottenham hotbed, because these guys hailed from there, too. So why Spurs? "We loved playing Clint Dempsey in FIFA 12." Why not follow him to MLS and the Sounders? "Well, you can't just switch allegiances like that!"
For all the Tottenham fans, though, there were plenty of fans ready to rep for the team's English Premier League rivals -- Arsenal -- like this guy who cheekily sported an Alexis Sanchez jersey.
Here's a hometown Colorado Rapids fan!
And then there was this guy. "I know Pirlo's not playing, but hey, he's still in MLS!"
