But just how stoked? We subjected them to a lightning-round game of soccer word association. Here's how they fared.
1. FIRST SOCCER MEMORY?
MLSsoccer.com: Why'd you write "Argentina?"
Sebu Simonian, Capital Cities songwriter and keyboardist, left: I just remember coming to this country [from Syria] 18 years ago, and my cousins were fans of Argentina, and I remember watching Maradona with them.
2. DENVER
MLSsoccer.com: Why "cousins?"
Ryan Merchant, Capital Cities singer, keyboardist, and guitarist, right: A lot of my family lived outside of Denver, in Fort Collins -- so we would fly into Denver to go to my auntie's place.
3. KAKÁ
Simonian: Wait, this is hard. Hold on...
Simonian: ....Okay, got it.
