AT&T Goal of the Week: Week 4

Three players are in a dead heat in AT&T MLS Goal of the Week voting, with Montreal Impact forward Jack McInerney holding a slight edge on New York Red Bulls’ midfielder Mike Grella and Real Salt Lake attacker Jordan Allen for the honors.

McInerney’s creative chip goal in Montreal’s 2-2 draw with Orlando leads the field with 26.63 percent of the vote, barely one percentage point ahead of Grella’s long-distance chip against Columbus Crew SC (25.02 percent) and just five points up on Allen’s late winner against Toronto FC (21.46 percent).

Orlando City SC’s Kaká and D.C. United’s Chris Pontius round out this week’s field, with Kaká’s wonderful close control and finish at Montreal in fourth with 15.76 percent of the vote and Pontius’s late game-winner against LA notching 11.14 percent of the tally thus far.
