Frank Lampard got a glimpse at the stadium he'll be calling home beginning in July when he visited Yankee Stadium for New York City FC's Saturday night match against Sporting Kansas City.

The NYCFC Designated Player, who enjoyed a free weekend from his club commitments with Manchester City due to the FIFA fixture date, was in attendance with his wife Christine Bleakley, who tweeted a picture from their seats.

“I’m certain we’ll get to spend some time together,” New York City FC coach
Jason Kreis said at a press conference in midweek during which he revealed Lampard's visit
.
“It’s really exciting, obviously, that he’s going to take that time and make the effort to come over and see us this weekend when he has a break," Kreis said last Wednesday. "We’ll look forward to spending some time with him and also getting him around the guys some more. I think that’s important.”

Lampard will officially join NYCFC in July, after his contract with English Premier League side Manchester City expires.
