Heading out to Portland for MLS All-Star Game festivities this week?
If you are, you probably already know — or you will soon — that food carts are the way to go in the Rose City. It's a huge part of the city's very unique food culture.
We're not just talking about hot dogs, some hamburgers and tacos. One of the staples of the Portland food cart scene is, apparently, the grilled cheese sandwich.
You can't really go "wrong" with any of the popular food carts in Portland, but you can certainly go "most right" with where you choose to have breakfast, lunch and/or dinner.
So let Portland Timbers defender Jack Jewsbury do the rigorous leg work for you (above video) as a judge for Portland's "Grilled Cheese Throwdown." If you have to have just one grilled cheese sandwich while in Portland, this is where you'll want to chow down.
