GUADALAJARA, Mexico – Edgar Castillo went 90 minutes as Atlas came from behind twice to defeat Chiapas 4-2 at Estadio Jalisco on Saturday night.

Castillo featured in his usual left-back position, not bombing forward as much he is accustomed to, but was solid defensively and good in possession.

For Chiapas, Gabriel Farfan came off the bench at halftime and played right back. The score was 2-2 when Farfan entered, but Atlas struck twice in the first 15 minutes of the second half to take the game.

Castillo’s Atlas remain undefeated in the Apertura 2014 and have seven points from three, while Farfan’s Chiapas are on four points.

Meanwhile, Michael Orozco (above) completed the game against América on the right of Puebla’s three center backs, although it was an unhappy Saturday afternoon for the former Philadelphia Union man with La Franja falling 4-0.

Orozco put a header on target in the 29th minute with the score at 1-0 and wasn’t at direct fault for any of las Aguilas’ four goals.

In the Ascenso MX, Atlante lost 4-2 at Alebrijes de Oaxaca, with Sonny Guadarrama playing the second 45 for los Potros and Juan Pablo Ocegueda completing the full match for Alebrijes.

Also Saturday, Stevie Rodriguez netted his first professional first-team goal as Dorados de Sinaloa drew 2-2 against Celaya. Rodriguez was on hand inside the box in the 74th when Rodrigo Prieto squared the ball to him with the goalkeeper rushing out.
