The last time we checked in on construction at the site of the San Jose Earthquakes' brand new stadium, it looked like this.
It was but a mere infant arena, a set of steels beems pointing upward and outward, transparent and hollow looking from the outside in. Its MLS debut seemed a million miles away.
But today, when you have a look at the site of the $70 million facility, you can just about see soccer. And if you squint really hard, you can almost see Chris Wondolowski scoring his first game-winner in the club's new digs.
Kickoff for the 2015 season isn't so far away, Quakes fans. It's time to start getting really excited about your new home.
