US Open Cup: Seattle Sounders, FC Dallas to host Chicago Fire, Philadelphia Union in semifinals

Four MLS teams remain standing in what has been a thrilling 2014 Lamar Hunt US Open Cup, and with the quarterfinals now wrapped up, the dates and locations of the semifinals have now been confirmed.


The first semifinal will see the Philadelphia Union travel to FC Dallas on August 12, with kick-off at Toyota Stadium in Frisco, Texas currently slated for 9 pm ET, per US Soccer's potential semifinal pairings. The Union have never made it past the semifinals of the tournament, while Dallas, who won their lone title in 1997, will be looking to return to a first final since 2007.


The second matchup will see two teams with seven US Open Cup titles between them square off, as three-time champions Seattle Sounders will play host to four-time winners Chicago Fire in a rematch of the 2011 final, at Starfire Stadium in Tukwila, Washington. The game will take place on August 13, with kick-off at 10:30 pm ET.
