World Cup: Is USMNT's Jermaine Jones campaigning for a move to MLS ... on Instagram? | SIDELINE

US national team midfielder Jermaine Jones is in search of a new club team, and he's going about it in the most 21st-century way possible: a campaign on social media.

Jones, fresh off a six-month loan to Turkish club Beşiktaş, enjoyed a standout World Cup and seems to be hoping to turn a stellar two weeks into a shiny, new contract with a Major League Soccer team, if his official Instagram account is to be believed.

On Thursday, after leaving Brazil and arriving at his Los Angeles vacation home with his wife and five children, Jones posted the following photo and caption to the page:

"S/o & Thanks for the support from the Fans in US and in Brazil AMAZING!!! maybe we see us in MLS"

This isn't the first time Jones has linked himself — or been linked — to an MLS move. In fact, it's not even the first time it's come up within in the past week.

If Jones were to sign a deal with an MLS club, he would likely need to go through the league's Allocation Ranking process. Currently, Toronto FC are atop the ranking and would have the right of first refusal to sign Jones.

Let's say Jones gets his wish and makes a move to MLS — which MLS team needs him most? For which team would he be the best fit?'s Armchair Analyst has one idea.
